Terms of Use

Last updated: September 30, 2026

1. What this is

planmyswim.com is a planning aid for open-water swimming in the San Francisco Bay. It visualizes tidal current predictions, water temperature, wind forecasts, and sun times derived from public data published by NOAA (CO-OPS, SFBOFS) and the US National Weather Service.

2. Estimates only — swim at your own risk

All data shown is an estimate. Predictions can be wrong, delayed, outdated, or unavailable, and actual conditions can differ materially. This service is not a safety service, not navigation advice, and not a substitute for your own judgment. Always verify conditions yourself before entering the water, never swim alone, and use appropriate safety support. You swim entirely at your own risk.

3. Acceptable use

You may use this site for personal, non-commercial swim planning. Do not scrape or bulk-download the service, attempt to disrupt it, or misrepresent its output as official guidance. The underlying NOAA/NWS data remains public US government data; this site is not affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA or the National Weather Service.

4. Accounts

Login works via a magic link sent to your email address, or via your Google account — there are no passwords. You are responsible for access to that email inbox. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service. Voucher codes are single-use, may expire, and grant no cash value.

5. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and availability.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of planmyswim.com is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including personal injury or loss of property — arising from the use of, or inability to use, this service or its data.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Questions: hello@planmyswim.com.
